Mining

The mining division carries out the exploitation and extraction of copper, lead and zinc from mineral ore to produce concentrates of lead, zinc, copper and copper cathodes. Our subsidiary Fresnillo plc focuses on the exploitation and extraction of minerals to produce gold and silver concentrates, precipitates, doré bars and other precious metal-rich materials. Metals and Chemicals

The metals business operates the Met-Mex Peñoles metallurgical complex in Torreón, whose facilities include a lead smelter, a lead-silver refinery and an electrolytic zinc plant. This complex also operates sulfuric acid, cadmium, antimony trioxide and liquid sulfur dioxide plants. Its main products are refined gold, silver, lead and zinc. Metals.

The chemical business is comprised of the Química del Rey and Fertirey chemical complexes. At the latter, metallurgical byproducts are transformed into value-added products . Its main products are sodium sulfate, magnesium oxide, magnesium sulfate and ammonium sulfate. Chemicals.
