  • Indirect Emissions

    Atmospheric emissions generated as a consequence of the Company's activities, but occur at sources owned or controlled by another entity.

  • Installed capacity

    Maximum achievable production per unit of time during a regular operation, applicable to mines, beneficiation plants and metallurgical plants, among others. It is determined according to the physical characteristics of the equipment, human resources, materials, maintenance times and type of energy used.

  • Leaching

    Hydrometallurgical process for the extraction and recovery of metals through its irrigation with reactive agents, in order to dissolve desired minerals into a concentrated (rich) solution.

  • Massive sulfide deposit

    Deposit formed by exhalation or volcanogenic sedimentary processes or volcanogenic deposits of massive sulfides.

  • Metallic content

    Amount of any metallic element contained in the total volume of an impure mineral or metal with an economic value in the markets due to its degree of concentration and purity.

  • Metallurgical penalty

    Discount rate applied to the price of a metal when the percentage of impurities in the concentrate exceeds the established limit.

  • Metallurgical recovery

    Ratio between metal content recovered through a metallurgical process (smelting and refining) and the total metal content in certain volumen of concentrate, doré, precipitate, etc. It is generally expressed as a percentage (%).
